Kampung Anggrek, The Green and Cleanest Kampong
Competition of Surabaya Green and Clean 2006, representing the green and the cleanest kampong election event. Cleanest Kampong Champion reached for by Kampung Pesona Anggrek, Jl. Kertajaya IV-C, RT 07 / RW XIII, Chief Of Village Kertajaya, Subdistrict Gubeng.
Based on so much assessment criterion, finally, all jury agree to chosen the kampong which is full decorated by orchid, as cleanest kampong. Thereby this kampong is entitled to accept the cash gratification equal to Rp. 25 million.
One unique thing of this kampong is the existence of orchid at every resident house. Others also because supported by solidarity and consistency of the resident to realize the beauty and the hygiene of the kampong. This matter also seen from the citizen behaviour in finishing garbage problem. Local citizen manage the garbage and they also have the komposter, device of garbage processing to become compost.
Citizen behaviour have the important role in making its kampong successful in competition which held on last May. Hygiene of entire kampong perhaps early from the hygiene in each resident house, so in the end able to make all Kampong in Surabaya become green and clean also.
